BECOME A VOLUNTEER

The core of every Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) are its Precinct Committees. Each of the Glades 13 precincts starts with a
Precinct Committeeman and a Precinct Committeewoman. They are the primary outreach to voters in their part of the county.

The DEC has several countywide committees where you can contribute to organizing Glades Democrats: Membership, Young Democrats, Affirmative Action Committee, and Advisory. Similarly, there are 20 caucuses (https://www.floridadems.org/our-party/caucuses) organized at the
state and county levels in which Democrats can become involved.

Hosting social events is key to sustaining the organization, bringing in more Democrats into active participation. It is from these core volunteers that registration drives, phone banking, email & text outreach, get-out-the-vote efforts, and candidate recruitment emerge.

So, get involved, learn about these various opportunities and then pick the activity that best fits your interests.
